Annotating your posts

One of the great things about blogs is that you can link to other people's sites and make reference to your sources.

One of the annoying things about blogs is that people link to other people's sites and make reference to their sources. Confused? Sometimes the links and references take up more space and prominence than the content itself, which is a bit self-defeating. One of the things I was interested in, but hadn't found, was a less obstrusive way of linking or annotating posts. This afternoon Tom:"Tom":http://www.tomrafteryit.net/views/ mentioned a solution he'd found:"Link Notes(Jeremy Curry's wordpress extension)":http://jeremycurry.com/archives/2005/08/07/linknotes/ It may not be suited to all styles of blog or even posts within a blog, but it does offer a number of possibilities that heretofore were not available, so I'm happy.
