A lot will depend on who replaces her.

Any ideas where Irene moved on to?

Really is the IIA's loss :(

Pete - I'm trying to run a business, so running another one which is based in Dublin wouldn't be the best of ideas

Steve - I suspect that her new appointment will be made public over the next few weeks. Until then you can keep guessing :)

Steve -

I have just been informed that I can tell you where she has gone. She's taking over as online manager of Golden Pages online.

Irene Gahan said:

Hi guys
I am off to Golden Pages online as their online producer which means I will be looking after the site in essence. I am sure the IIA will be put into capable hands and I have had a ball over the last three years or so. Am staying in the industry for my sins.

Hey Irene, congratulations and the very best of luck with golden pages, you certainly left the IIA in a hell of a better state than you found it :)

Irene Gahan said:

Thanks guys, I am sure we will know who the next ceo is within a couple of weeks. I am sure that they will go out to all with suggestions and advice for direction and industry input for the coming year and it would be great if you could assist them the way the open list and members gave out advice when I took over. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Michele, John Mc, Tom ex Spin Fergal O'Byrne, Damian R, colm @ realex, Andrew @ newsweaver, colin at continuum and jenny at investni who have always provided a good sound board for ideas and of course Bernie. Now at least I can set up my own blog.

Hey Irene,

Well done with the new appointment. Hopefully you'll do as good a job with Golden Pages as you have with the IIA - the Golden Pages online is a pile of sh**e at the moment (pardon my french!).

Looking forward to the changes you'll implement there, and well done once again on a job well done with the IIA!
