Euros Kill

Euro kill. Or to be more precise, the euro symbol if tapped into this blog can have a very "interesting" effect on some blog aggregators.

A lot of blog aggregators use planet as their backend. Although it is more robust than some of the other software used to parse XML streams (RSS, Atom etc) it can still encounter issues with certain characters as I discovered. Ken, who runs Planet ILUG gave me a hand in tracking down the issue, as I wasn't sure if it was something to do with the version I use on the Hosting Blogs or something else. The culprit, it transpires, was the humble € symbol!!

Ah, yes. Making a whole new symbol for that was a bit silly, really.
