Some of the themes also include particular plugins which change the way content elements are displayed. The only problem is choosing the right theme, as there are so many to choose from.
The latest version of the Wordpress Theme Browser goes a long way to making this easier for you and currently has nearly 300 themes for you to choose from.
You wouldn't happen to know what admin theme is running behind wordpress.com or how I would find out? Its very attractive partly AJAXified. I've been playing with an account there for the last few days.
