Internet Explorer Users Beware

If you make up part of the 40% of readers viewing this blog in Internet Explorer you may have noticed a new addition to the top of this page (and all other pages on this blog) If you do not like this addition you can get rid of it very easily :) EDIT: Seems the javascript is doing odd things, so I've removed it for the moment

Yep, by unsubscribing in Bloglines.
I don't use IE, but I do use Maxthon which shares a rendering engine. Maxthon does everything FF does, just as well, except avoid those extremely irritating ads. Though it does mean I know what sites to cease visiting.

Don - I'll have a look at the UserAgent your browser is sending. If I can't modify the script to ignore Maxthon I may have to remove it completely
Thanks for your feedback

Michele

Ha - thats excellent! I use firefox, but i checked IE to see whats goin on. Nice one.

This Maxthon thing would seem to be simply a repackaged IE browser component. I don't have Windows handy; what does the site say to IE users? :)

Rib - tells them that they really should upgrade to Firefox
