Dear Recruitment Agency Yes I post to mailing lists. No, that does not give you permission to email me as if pulling my email address from there was "acceptable". Thanks Michele

Was it Kelly Recruitment? I had to involve the Data Protection Commissioner in my situation...

Eventually...from Sept 2005...
I was recently made aware of an e-mail that was sent to a number of
candidates showing others' contact e-mails. I completely agree with your
feelings about this and want to assure you that this is not our mode of
operation. Confidentiality is one of the most important aspects of our
business. I want to apologise for this mailing which should have been done as a blind mailing (only recipient e-mail visible). This was done in error and has been taken very seriously.

In the meantime, we have removed your information from our file as you
requested.

Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for this.

If I don't get satisfaction from the recruiting agency in question I will quite happily "name and shame". I haven't had a chance to contact their main offices yet, but I fully intend to

They wouldn't happen to be from the West of Ireland? If so they have been at me as well.

How come you name them on CLUG and not here Michele? You have very odd habits sometime boy. :)

Anyway, I won't link to you naming them, but I will link to me doing it.

Heh
Well I did get an apology of sorts, so I'll leave it at that. I just wonder why they're getting so desperate that they have to resort to these kind of measures.
