ENN - Press Release Recycling At Its Best?

| | Comments (3)
Why oh why do people in ENN simply publish companies' press releases as if they were gospel? It just so happens that I have a conflicting set of results... Odd that, isn't it? Top 10 spam countries November 2006 Note the inclusion of actual figures ie. you can see how many emails were involved, as opposed to a vague and unscientific statement with no actual figures to support its conclusions (they may have the data, but it never makes it into the press releases)

Hmmmm, I thought Brazil would be higher up the list then that.

The amount of data about us being bought and sold still really alarms me.

We don't seem to get a lot of spam from there for some reason.. We've enough without it !

ENN is a peanut farm. They can't analyse tech news because none of them are techies. They haven't the original data on spam to analyse nor would they even know how to analyse it. IEinternet's press release provides a nice and simple to recycle story. It is that simple. Click and drool journalism at its best.
