Domain Fest Kicks Off

| | Comments (3)
Domain Fest kicked off yesterday afternoon with registration in the mezzanine of the Hollywood Renaissance. I now feel "branded", as I'm walking around the place with a big name tag hanging from a lanyard. All delegates got a nice little bag jammed with goodies - the dotMobi guys provided a branded luggage label, which I can definitely see coming in useful on my way back! After a brief introductory talk we all made our way into the bar for the cocktail party which was sponsored by Ask.com. It becomes obvious to anyone that networking is the main thing at this event, so I'm rapidly using up my supply of business cards and growing a lovely collection of my own. The biggest problem I'll have afterwards is working out why I got the cards in the first place.. This morning the talks start around 9am, so I'll be heading across to the Renaissance shortly.

Sounds good Michele. I've pondered about the nature of business cards of late, especially in the tech sector. I've got a pile of them that I never really use.

I tend to collect them at events and then try to input them into something afterwards. The biggest issue is remembering WHO the card belongs to :)
