Top Fifty Most Influential Bloggers

| | Comments (7)
Via Digg the top fifty most influential bloggers is a fascinating read. Unlike so many of those lists you see this one has been laid out clearly and explains exactly who each person is and why they may be considered important.

You'll probably recognise some of the names, but a lot of the others are probably better known by the sites they run or started.

No mention of Danny Sullivan and Pamela Jones or did I miss it ?

Like a lot of top lists there are always going to be a few entries that people query :)

No doubt. But without Sullivan about 35 of the sites listed would have no reason to exist. ;-)

That maybe the case, but there will always be subjectivity .. it's part of the game!

The SEO part of the list was unexpected; more "rising stars" vs. "arrived". Still, it was well-researched and presented. I dug a little deeper to group the top 50 into categories:

19 in Computers & Internet
11 in Business & Finance
8 in News & Politics
6 in Society & Culture
4 in Entertainment
2 in Shopping (gadgets)

(2 dozen subcategories and more info are in my post.)

That breakdown is interesting

Great to see Eli listed on there. I really enjoy reading his blog and his down to earth posts.
