Early Flights Suck

| | Comments (4)
It's now 6am. I've been up since 4am. I think I got some sleep, but I woke up several times.

I'm waiting to board a flight from Dublin to London, and then onto LA.

Since my neck / back give me trouble in the best of circumstances I've decided to try one of those travel pillow things

I've no idea if it will work on the flight from London to LA, but I'm willing to give it a try!

It doesn't take up much space in my laptop bag which is handy!

I have one of those too, and they are OK, but nothing special. I actually got a new, bigger one last week (they were handing them out for free at Brussels Airport, so it has a bank logo on it but who cares? :D). My long-haul flight kit also includes silicon earplugs, they are quite good against pressure change, and to reduce at least a little bit the noise.
Hope you´ll have a nice flight... see you in a couple of days ;)

The noise doesn't bother me. The pillow thing worked quite well and I slept for a few hours, so I'm not too out of it :)

See you in a couple of days!

Glad the flight went well :)
The earplugs don´t eliminate the noise completely (also because you still feel the airplane vibrations through your body), but they are good against pressure changes, and to minimize the noise of people´s conversations and similar.

See you tomorrow afternoon ;)

I dunno, as a rather large, lanky and altogether prominent individual I would find little comfort in an inflatable pillow whilst I'm folded up in a plastic sarcophagus like some lanky, twisted bat.

That's why I still prefer the old fashioned - drink as much as the cabin crew will give you then pass out with your head on the folding tray - approach.
It negates the need for inflatable bath pillows, helps the time pass more quickly and also makes entering your destination country all the more interesting.
