Spam Filtering: November 2006 Archives

For the second time in the last month or so I've received spam from An Fearr Rua. They've obviously been scraping email addresses off websites using a robot. Wow! Aren't they innovative! So now they're spamming the entire country via Eircom's SMTP. Great marketing play guys - keep it up!
Since Richard started blogging a few weeks ago I've been keeping an eye on his posts and enjoying every one of them. His most recent one hurt. It really did. I laughed so much my sides hurt (or maybe that's just my bad cooking?? ) If you blog you get comments. Unfortunately a lot of them will be spam .. While I find the odd one that gets into my moderation list mildly irritating I never found them amusing. After Richard's post I may have to view them in a completely different light. Maybe Twenty Major has some competition at last?
